We had a spooky time on this Halloween night!! The weather wasn't the greatest but we kept our Halloween spirit! The kids went trick or treating and saw some creepy and cool decorations. The adults had fun, specially when the kids got home with their bags full of treats, they treated themselves lol!!!
Hope you all had a Spooky, Safe Halloween!!!
Enjoy the pictures, get creative for next year!!
We came across this house full of carved pumpkins, really amazing! The owner of the house explained to us that it took him and family members 2 full weeks to carve the 60 or more pumpkins on his front lawn, but it was a show stopper! Excellent carving

Pumpkin recipes!
Made, tested and ohh so yummy
Pumpkin-Patch Brownies
- I tripled this recipe and baked it on a 8x10 baking dish
- Serves 15-20 people (medium size squares)
- I used chocolate and vanilla frosting
- The skull was freehand, i googled skull images for ideas.
Ingredients
- 2 ounces unsweetened chocolate, chopped
- 1/2 cup canned pure pumpkin puree
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup flour
Preparation
- Preheat oven to 325°F. Line an 8-inch square metal baking pan with foil; grease.
- Microwave chocolate and 2 Tbsp. water on medium for 2 minutes in a microwavable bowl; stir until smooth. Stir in pumpkin puree.
- With an electric mixer, beat eggs, sugars, vanilla and salt on high until thick, about 2 minutes. Add pumpkin mixture on low. Stir in cocoa and then flour until blended.
- Scrape batter into prepared pan. Bake until a tester comes out clean, about 30 minutes. Let cool on a rack for 1 hour.

A quick fall recipe.
Ingredients:
2 cups flour2 tsp. baking powder
1 Tbs. pumpkin pie spice (optional – I did not add and tasted great)
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon (optional – also didn't add)
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 cup grapeseed oil
1 cup brown sugar ( I used ½ cup)
2 eggs
1/2 cup low-fat organic vanilla yogurt (Greek yogurt would also work)
1 tsp. vanilla
1 (15-ounce) can pureed pumpkin
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease a 9x9 baking dish.
- In a small bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, (pumpkin pie spice, cinnamon- optional) and salt and mix well.
- In a large bowl, whisk the grapeseed oil and sugar until combined. Add the eggs, yogurt, vanilla and pumpkin and mix until fully incorporated. Add in the flour mixture and stir to incorporate the dry ingredients.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 40-50 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Be safe, be spooky, be smart and have fun on Halloween! Check your candy before eating!
My front entrance pumpkins.
Easy DIY, just paint a solid color than add tape for stripes (easier) and opposite paint for circles. I added thick black and thin silver ribbon to the top. All supplies bought at the dollar store. This is a fun project to do with your kids.
Will be posting Halloween Pictures, after our Halloween Night, please feel free to add your comments and share your Halloween experience!
